Caring people don't stop caring overnight. It is a slow process, a silent shift. It starts when they give and give, but never receive the same energy back. They keep understanding but no one tries to understand them. When their kindness gets mistaken for weakness, and their patience is taken for granted.
They hold on, hoping things will change. They keep explaining, belueving they will be heard. They keep forgiving, thjnking maybe this time, things will be different. But slowly, something inside them starts to break. Disappointments pile up. Unanswered texts, broken promises, and thoughtless words chip away at the love once they gave so freely.
And then one day, something changes. Not with a fight, not with anger -- just silence. They stop checking in. They stop waiting. They stop hoping. Not because they want to, but because they've been left with no choice. Their care, once overflowing, now feels like a burden they no longer wish to carry.
Caring people don't turn cold, they just get tired. Tired of one-sided efforts, tired of feeling unappreciated, tired of being the only one eho tries. When they stop caring, there is no going back.
So, if someone still cares about you, don't take it for granted. Because once they stop, they stop for good.
